I have wanted to be an educator for as long as I can remember; I was that kid taking extra workbooks home to play “school” with my dolls. 😊 I am in love with the joy and fulfillment that comes with teaching and helping young minds grow. My goal as a teacher is to help my students reach for the stars and fall in love with learning. My other passion in life is caring for animals; I consider my pets family. Before I followed my dream and pursued teaching, I was a Certified Veterinary Technician; I worked hard to nurse and nurture animals back to health.
I carry this same nurturing attitude toward my teaching, and I am dedicated to forming caring relationships with all my students and their parents. I currently have two adorable senior pups named Jazzy and Rin and two sassy kitties named Kaze and Butters. I absolutely LOVE guinea pigs, and I will have them as companions again in the future. My hobbies involve spending time with my fiancé, Dillon, and our animal family as well as hiking, biking, indoor bouldering, reading, playing video games, watching shows/movies, journaling, going to Bahama Bucks, creating miniature displays, collecting 80’s and 90’s Barbies and Calico Critters (I am totally a kid at heart), and going on adventures.
I am currently in online courses to earn my BA in Educational Studies, then I will pursue my MA in Early Childhood Education. I am devoted to learning and growing as an educator each day and believe in lifelong learning and living life to the fullest. I am beyond ecstatic to be a part of The Big Red Barn family!
