Clyde’s Corner | September 2025
Welcome to Clyde's Corner
🍂Shalom September🍂
Needing some prayers? We got you! If you would like our Big Red Barn Prayer Team to pray for something specific, you can submit prayer requests here! Remember no prayer is too big for our God and with community in prayer, anything is possible

Monthly Updates:
- Grandparents Day Tea Parties will be held on September 5th from 3:30 - 4:30 pm. Please fill out the RSVP on your child's classroom door so we know how many adults to expect!
- Starting September 3rd, we are no longer using Emergency doors for daily access. It has become evident that these doors were not built for daily use which has caused a lot of issues and needed maintenance. Please use the front door for all drop off and pick-up procedures, thank you!
- Clocking In/Out On Bright Wheel
- Please make sure you are checking your students in/out on Bright Wheel BEFORE leaving the school! We want to ensure every child is safe and accounted for. Making sure your student is checked-in helps us keep your student safe 🙂
- Late Drop-offs
- As everyone knows, our school start time is 8:30 am.
- If you cannot make our 8:30 cut-off due to an appointment or busy morning, please message us in Brightwheel (so we know you and your kiddo are safe!). We also ask that if you are dropping off after 8:30 to only drop off during outdoor times or during extracurricular activities. This will help our classrooms remain productive during academic times! Thank you for partner with us in this, you all have been so amazing 💙

- We are adjusting our extracurriculars to better fit the needs of the BRB and our partners! Below is the outline of the updates:
- For the month of September we are partnering with Mr. Luke's mom who is the head of the Physical Therapy Department at Regis. Here is a note from Hedi:
-
I am teaching an advanced pediatric elective course for 12 of our physical therapy students in their final year of PT school. These students have chosen pediatrics as a specialty area of interest and need more exposure to typically developing children so that they can gain a better understanding of all developmental areas (motor, language, social-emotional and cognitive) and how to integrate developmental principles into play and movement.
- 4 of her students will be assisting Mr. Luke this month to recieve credits in their college courses. This is an incredible opportunity for us to partner with local students to help them achieve their dreams!
-
- FALL IS NEAR!!
- Colorado is about to P.M.S. in regards to weather😂 Please make sure your kiddo is prepared for any and all weather!
- A HUGE part of who the BRB is how much we get our students outside in rain, snow, or shine! Getting our students outside in various types of weather helps build resilience and help kiddos become more comfortable in the uncomfortable:)
- When the FEELS LIKE temperature is....
- BELOW 20 degrees: students stay inside
- BEWTEEN 20-30 degrees: kiddos can be outside of a maximum of 15 minutes
- ABOVE 30 degrees: Students can go outside for their allotted time
- We even go outside when it's actively precipitating--to allow our children to just be children 🙂

🎶Support Your School Through Music at Altitunes Lakewood!🎶
The Barn has loved our partnership with Altitunes Music to bring joy of music to our kiddos! Altitunes offers fun and interactive classes for families in Lakewood, and we’d love for you to check them out!

A message from Altitunes:
Join us for your first music class with your little one at Altitunes Lakewood and we’ll donate $5 to support music programming at Big Red Barn/Little Red Barn.
It doesn’t stop there: when you sign up for a recurring class, we’ll continue donating $5 every month for as long as you’re enrolled. That means your family enjoys music together and your school benefits month after month!
