Needing some prayers? We got you! If you would like our Big Red Barn Prayer Team to pray for something specific, you can submit prayer requests here! Remember no prayer is too big for our God and with community in prayer, anything is possible

Monthly Updates:

• 🚗 Trunk or Treat — Friday, October 23rd
  • We are SO excited to be hosting another Trunk or Treat! We still have plenty of spots available for families who would like to decorate a trunk and participate. The more, the merrier! If you would like to join us, please sign up at the front desk.
  • We are also turning it into a little Trunk or Treat competition! 🎃 The trunk voted Best Trunk will win a Free baby PTO day! So get creative!
  • 🎃 Trunk or Treat Schedule
    • 3:00–4:00 PM: Trunk setup
    • 4:00–5:45 PM: Trunk or Treat
    • 5:45–6:00 PM: Tear down and clean up
  • Costumes: Please pack your child's costume rather than sending them to school in it. Our teachers will help children change into their costumes before the event.
• 👻 Halloween Classroom Party
  • We will be having a Halloween Classroom Party starting at 3:30pm
  • We will have spooky Halloween music, crafts, games, and lots of fun! Parents are more than welcomed to join. 
• 🏆 Teacher Costume Contest
  • Our teachers will also be getting into the Halloween spirit with a costume contest! This will be sent through google severe on Oct 30th. 
• 🎃 Halloween Spirit Week
  • Let's have some spooky fun all week long!
    • Monday: Crazy Hair Day 🤪
    • Tuesday: Dress Like a Spooky Character 👻
    • Wednesday: Halloween Colors Day 🧡🖤
    • Thursday: Pajama Day 🌙
    • Friday: Halloween Costumes in the Afternoon 🎃
• 🌼 Día de los Muertos — School Ofrenda
  • This year, our school will once again be creating an Ofrenda to honor and remember loved ones who have passed away as we celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).
  • An Ofrenda is a special altar created to remember and celebrate the lives of family members, friends, and pets who have passed away. It is a meaningful tradition that allows us to share memories, show love, and honor those who are no longer with us.
  • If you would like your child to include someone special in our school-wide Ofrenda, please bring in a photo of a loved one or pet who has passed away. Participation is completely optional. 📸
  • Please write your name on the back of the picture so we know who it belongs to and can return it to you when we take down the Ofrenda.
  • Thank you for helping us create a beautiful and meaningful school-wide display where our community can come together to remember and honor those we love. ❤️🌼
• 🧥 Extra Clothes & Rain Gear
  • We are officially entering the most confusing part of Colorado weather! One day it can be 90 degrees, the next it can be 65 degrees, and sometimes we get both in the same day! 😂
  • We love getting outside and enjoying our outdoor time at BRB, so please make sure your child has extra clothing and appropriate gear for different types of weather. We recommend keeping extra clothes at school that can be used for both warmer and cooler days.
  • Rain gear is also a great idea as we head into the wetter and cooler months!
• 🧸 Show & Tell
  • Show & Tell is held in every classroom every Friday!
  • Children are welcome to bring in a special item to share with their friends. Please remember that items should be non-chokeable and something you are comfortable with being at school in case it gets lost or broken.
• 📱 Checking Children In & Out
  • Parents, please remember that it is your responsibility to make sure your child is checked in and out each day.
  • Please help our teachers by making sure this is completed at drop-off and pickup. If you forget to check your child in or out, simply send us a message and we will make sure it gets taken care of.
  • Thank you for helping us keep our attendance records accurate! ❤️
• 🌙 Parents' Night Out — November 14th
  • Need a night out? We've got you covered! 💃🎉
  • Our next Parents' Night Out will be held on Friday, November 14th, from 4:00–8:00 PM at the Big Red Barn Christian Academy.
  • This is a great opportunity to drop the kiddos off for an evening of fun while you enjoy some well-deserved time to yourselves!
