Welcome back everyone! We are so excited to see everyone on Monday July 29th and can't wait to kick off our 2024|2025 School Year!

Updates:

• Looking for a Sitter? We now have our sitter information posted on the parent portal under the resource tab! You can also access it here!
• Curriculum Updates:
  • Both Little Llama's and Rowdy Roosters will be doing a Back to School Theme lesson plan for the week of 7/29 - 8/2. Students will go over there classroom commitments, rules, and expectations. Then, the following week they will kick off strong with FrogStreet Theme 1!
  • Our Porcupettes kick off the school year with FrogStreet Theme 1 on 7/29!
• Ms. Kathleen was working hard over the break to update all immunization records and general health appraisals. Please make sure to check your email to see if we need anything from you and please try to get this items in as soon as possible😊
• Parent Feedback Survey! Now that we have now been operating for 8 months and are headed into our first School Year, we want to hear how you think we have been doing! Any and all feedback to these questions will be helpful as we continue to develop and grow into the best possible Early Learning Center for our families. I Love You Rituals

Adapted from Conscious Discipline, I Love You Rituals are playful, one-on-one interactions that build loving bonds while increasing attention span, decreasing power struggles and promoting language and literacy at school or at home. These brain-building interactions facilitate optimal development for young children and create lifelong bonds between children and adults.

There will now be an I Love You Ritual on every newsletter! For that entire month, our teachers will be doing the same I Love You Ritual center wide! 🥰 You can also do these I Love You Rituals at home too!

   A Wonderful Woman Who Lived in a Shoe

"A wonderful woman lived in a shoe, 

She had so many children, 

She knew exactly what to do.

She held them, 

She rocked them, 

And tucked them in bed. 

I love you, I love you, is what she said." 

This is a great ritual to do before nap or bedtime! Here is a video example of this ritual! You can freestyle and switch up movements/words with your kiddo to engage them more. We encourage all families to practice these rituals at home as well! The opportunities are endless!

Staffing Updates

Ms. Sage has decided to join our team full time! Sage was originally planning on working with us throughout the summer and then part time as she goes back to school, but she just can't say goodbye to your sweet kids! We are so excited that Ms. Sage has dedicated time to take classes to become a lead teacher with us and can not wait to see all that she does at The Barn. Ms. Sage will be co teaching with Ms. Maisey in our Little Llama Classroom🦙🥰
