Clyde’s Corner | February 2026
Welcome to Clyde's Corner
❤️Time to Spread LOVE❤️
Needing some prayers? We got you! If you would like our Big Red Barn Prayer Team to pray for something specific, you can submit prayer requests here! Remember no prayer is too big for our God and with community in prayer, anything is possible
Monthly Updates:
- Thank you for allowing us to be apart of your village and for the opportunity to spread unconditional love to your little ones!❤️
- Drop-offs:
- As a reminder, we have a strict 8:30 am cut-off time for all drop offs. Please bring your kiddo to school BEFORE 8:30 am so your kiddo is sitting down for snack, ready to go by that cut-off time.
- Please make sure you are washing hands WITH your students everyday you drop off. This helps us instill personal hygiene practices, keep our classrooms as "germ free" as possible, while bringing consistency in to your student's drop-off routine regardless of what parent or teacher is present.
- Pick-ups:
- For the safety of your student, please make sure you are walking all the way down to the playground gate to pick-up your kiddo. Students are not allowed to leave the playground until a parent is physically at the gate.
- The gates to the playgrounds are "teacher's touch" which means no child is allowed to touch the latch of the gate as a safety precaution.
- Please help us guide your students to wait inside the playground until you arrive at the gate! Teachers will do their best to implement this to a higher standard.
- Glass-Free Zone:
- Our school is a "glass-free zone". Please do not bring any food or items in glass containers to ensure the safety of your student and their teachers. (Plastic or rubber containers are great alternatives!)
- Nut-Free Zone:
- Our ENTIRE school is a "100% Nut-Free Zone" to ensure the safety of all of our students with allergies.
- Please avoid packing any types or forms of nuts into the school-instead you can use healthy substitutions such as sun-butter rather than peanut butter.
- Playground:
- We will be transferring to Playground rather than Brightwheel for billing on your February 15th invoice
- We will be using Playground for daily use (checking in, daily updates, messaging, etc.) on February 23rd!
- If you have not already, please make sure to finish signing up for Playground by the end of this week to ensure a smooth transition.
- Teacher Appreciation Box:
- There is a box on the front desk in hopes that families will help us spread love to our teachers this Valentines day season!
- Please write a short, positive note to a teacher of your choice to share what you love about them, what they have done for your family, and/or how they have influenced your kiddo 🙂
- We will hand these notes out to teachers on their hard days to remind them how amazing they are and how thankful we are of what they do!
Upcoming Events:
- Valentines Day Parties will be held on Friday, February 13th from 4-6 pm. Families are welcomed:)
- Please make sure to have your child bring enough Valentines to hand out to their classmates! Please make sure these are labeled with who they are from, but keep the "To" section blank as it is easier for children to hand them out this way!
- Below are the amount of Valentines you will need for each class
- Ducklings - 9
- Porcupettes - 10
- Little Llamas - 12
- Rowdy Roosters - 14
- Our school will be closed for students and families on Monday, February 16th. This day will be used as a Teacher Planning/Prep Day for our staff members to further their education❤️

Christian Academy Updates:
- We are officially in the inspection phase at the new location! We passed our Health Inspection earlier this week and have Licensing and Fire Inspections scheduled for next week! Things are moving fast are we are looking good to open in March. Opening day is still dependent on when the state give us the final ok, but we are looking at opening on either Monday March 2nd or Monday the 16th!
- A little more about our Christian Curriculum!
- Our mission is to spread God’s love to your kiddos and to help them build a foundation of love, grace, and prayer. Your students will explore different bible stories in chronological order by having interactive and messy activities to learn from. At the barn, learning about Jesus is created to be fun, messy, and will ALWAYS result back to learning about God’s character. No matter the story or lesson, your students will focus their attention on which characteristic that God is displaying or teaching us about and how we can implement that characteristic in our own hearts. Focusing on God’s character will help us disciple children to become kind, graceful, and loving humans who aim to be more like Jesus. We want to bring God’s love and grace into every interaction we have with your students and your family. With the help of Conscious Discipline and our strong focus on social emotional development of our students, we will help guide your students to build confidence in confiding in God through prayer no matter the situation. Not only will we begin our day with prayer, inviting God into our day-to-day experiences, but we will also help students build an understanding of how we can speak to God using interactive, visual ‘prayer helper books’. This will allow students to build confidence and teach them how to be transparent and honest with God while helping them start their prayer journeys. If behaviors occur between peers, we will also give prayer as an option for students to use as a problem solving technique to start allowing prayer to be the thing that brings them together. Prayer and God's character will be at the heart of everything that we do!
- Christian Academy Staff Updates:
- As you may have notice we are starting to hire and train our Christian Academy staff within our current facilities! We are excited to be able to have this overlap to fully prepare our new staff for opening!
- Ms. Martia will be one of our toddler teachers at The Christian Academy and Ms. Kelsie will be our Assistant Director! While they may not be at your students location for long, please help us welcome and love on the new staff as they prepare for their next adventure!
- In order to keep consistency at out current locations, we are making it a priority to not remove many current staff to take to The Christian Academy. As you know Ms. Alicia will be moving over and we will also be giving Ms. Brittany a new opportunity to run our Preschool/Pre-K ages at the new facility!
