Welcome to Clyde's Corner
Springing into April
Needing some prayers? We got you! If you would like our Big Red Barn Prayer Team to pray for something specific, you can submit prayer requests here! Remember no prayer is too big for our God and with community in prayer, anything is possible
Monthly Updates:
- School Safety:
-
For the safety of all our children, it is very important that doors and gates remain “adult/teacher only.” We kindly ask for your help in reinforcing this expectation with your child(ren). This helps us ensure that no one leaves an area without an adult present and supports our efforts in keeping everyone safe and secure.
-
We know that drop-offs and pick-ups can sometimes feel busy and fast-paced. We kindly ask that you always provide a quick verbal check-in with a teacher when arriving and leaving. We truly strive to connect with you as soon as you enter the room or when we see you, but there are moments when we are supporting others and their needs. Your communication helps us ensure smooth transitions and, most importantly, maintain everyone’s safety.
- Please be sure to check in and out on the playground every single day. This is extremely important for the safety of all our children and helps us keep accurate records of who is on campus at all times.
-
- Student's Belongings
- We have a lot of students and a lot of personal belongings, please help your teachers keep track of your student's personal items by writing your child's first AND last name on EVERY belonging that you bring to school.
- We will be adding Show and Tell every Friday for the entire school. Please limit bringing toys from home to Fridays only.
- Summer Weather:
- Summer weather is here, which means it’s time for dresses and shorts! As a reminder, we ask that all girls please wear shorts underneath their dresses for comfort and ease during playtime.
-
We love our outdoor time! From learning activities to meals, we enjoy making the most of the beautiful weather and will be spending much more time outside. Please make sure your kiddos come prepared with sun hats and, if you’d like, sunglasses. We also kindly ask that all items are labeled with your child’s name.
-
For safety, please make sure your child(ren) come to school in closed-toe shoes each day. We stay very active and use the stairs often, so proper footwear is important to help keep everyone safe. Shoes with holes, such as Crocs or water shoes, are perfectly okay as long as they have a secure back strap.
- Water Bottles:
- Please make sure to bring a water bottle that your student can independently open and close everyday. Hydration is extremely important and we want to make sure students have their own water bottles to fuel them throughout the day!
- Universal Pre-K
- This is a reminder that UPK funds are only provided to families through the school year (August - May). If your child is currently on UPK tuition rates, this is a reminder that tuition for June and July are fully covered by parents. We will be sending out a tuition rate sheet in the Rooster announcement chat so that you all can be fully prepared!
- We also like to recieve summer care feedback for children who are graduating as many time, families like to enjoy the last summer before Kindergarten together. Please fill out this form to let us know your summer plans, along with graduation intent so that we can begin preparing for Summer and Fall enrollment.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Sasha to our team! She will be joining us as a whole school Float. If you see her around, please make sure to say hi and introduce yourself.
Here’s a little bit about her:
Hi! My name is Sasha Maclala, and I’m excited to join The Big Red Barn team! I was born in Anaheim, California, but I’ve spent most of my life in Denver. I’ve always had a passion for working with young children and helping them grow, explore, and build confidence. I believe that children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and encouraged. I’m excited to build strong bonds with every child so they know they can always count on me. In my free time, I love discovering new lakes and enjoying a good swim.
Let’s give her a warm welcome to the team! 🎉
