Welcome to Clyde’s Corner

Happy Spring

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!! WE COULD NOT DO IT WITHOUT EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU! We are so grateful and we do not take anyone of you for granted. For being a brand new center, and having those roller coaster days, we can not thank you enough for being flexible, coming together and working as a team! We are building such a wonderful community and work family! ♥️

  3. Please be more engaging on the playgrounds! Get out there and get dirty!! (not literally but literally)🤣
  4. It is staying lighter a lot longer so continue to work on closing your classrooms quicker as students are staying later. We are almost at full capacity, and we may no longer get 45 minutes to close rooms.
    • Clean items during nap time
    • If you have 2 or more teachers, UTILIZE them!
    • Begin to close your room between 4:30 – 5 PM so all that’s left is spraying toys, mopping and vacuuming. Everything else can get done with students in the room
  5. Remember to use 2 hands when mopping. You cannot scrub the floor unless you are putting your back into it!
  6. We introduced all extracurriculars this past month! Tiny Tots Dance, Tiny Green Thumbs, and Creative Critters went so well! Every classroom had a blast!

Welcome to Clyde’s Corner

Happy Luck of the Irish Month!!!

We are now entering our 3rd month of being open! We are so lucky to have such a wonderful team!

We’ve had a lot of illnesses this past month, and with that, a lot of absences, please be understanding that somedays aren’t going to go as planned and it can get crazy, and that’s okay! There may be extra staff in rooms that are within ratio, we will need to utilize them in rooms that need extra support. Keeping in mind that as Admin, we are always going to support you, hear you, and communicate to you to the best of our abilities however, please note that every classroom see themselves as their own island, but outside of your classroom, another classroom may be struggling or vise versa. We encourage you all to shift your mindset that we are one community and not separate islands. Support from the entire center as a whole is what will make The Big Red Barn difference come to life! We will continue to go through growing pains as we are a brand new center just trying to create a perfect program! This will take a while and we appreciate the role that you all play in that, we couldn’t do it without you♥️

How Are All Of You Doing?

Please let us know if you need anything, have any ideas or concerns. Please feel free to talk to any of the admin, we are always here for you.

Let’s Get to Know Each Other!

There will be a box/tub on the staff break table and a stack of cards for you to write down 3 things we do not know about you. Then we will draw one card a week and do a “who is this” on Group me.  If someone guesses you, please let us know. Then if anyone wants to ask questions about what someone wrote down they will ask you to explain. For example: someone writes down that they 1. Own a ferret  2. Has a belly piercing  3. Has climbed Mt. Everest. Once someone guesses who wrote these then someone can ask a question like, “when did you climb MT. Everest?” If you have any questions please ask anyone on the admin team.
