Monthly Updates:

2026-27 School Calendar
- If you have not already familiarized yourself with our 2026–2027 School Calendar, please take a few minutes to review it. We have made a few important changes for the upcoming school year.
  - Staff Training Closures: Beginning this school year, we will close at 4:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of almost every month to allow our teachers to participate in professional development and staff training.
  - Summer Break: Our annual summer break will now take place during the second week of July.
Playground Announcement Groups
- Please make sure you are checking your classroom's Playground Announcement Group regularly. This is where we share important information, including classroom updates, new teachers, upcoming events, reminders, and much more!
Graduating Kids
- If your child is graduating from The Big Red Barn this year, their last day will be Friday, August 7th. We are so proud of all of our graduates and can't wait to see all the amazing things they accomplish!
New Classroom Rosters
- Class rosters for the 2026–2027 school year have been shared in each classroom's Playground Announcement Group. If you have any questions about your child's classroom placement, please don't hesitate to reach out.
August 7th Splash Day & Popsicles
- Join us on Friday, August 7th, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. for an afternoon of Splash Day fun and popsicles!
- Please have your child come to school in their regular clothes and pack:
  - A swimsuit
  - Water shoes
  - A towel
- Our teachers will help children change into their swimsuits before the event. Please note that children will not be changed back into regular clothes afterward, so plan accordingly.
We're kicking off the new school year with a week of fun!
- Monday, August 17 – 🎩 Dress to Impress
- Tuesday, August 18 – 🌟 Neon Day
- Wednesday, August 19 – 🤪 Mix & Match Day
- Thursday, August 20 – 🌈 Tie-Dye Day
- Friday, August 21 – 💤 Pajama Day
Under Ground Spirt week!
- Our teachers will also be participating in an Underground Spirit Week!
- Keep an eye out each day to see if you can figure out our secret spirit theme. The first family to correctly guess the day's theme will win a gift card!
- Good luck—we can't wait to see who catches on first!
Parents Night Out
- We will be hosting Parent's Night Out on September 12th at the Christian Academy from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Please use this link to sign up.
