Emily Harris | Assistant Toddler Teacher
As a child, my favorite form of play was teaching anyone who would listen! Whether it was my stuffed animals or my siblings on the couch solving math equations, I loved sharing knowledge! During college at Colorado State University, I worked as a full-time nanny for three years, caring for children ages 6 months to 10 years. This experience ignited my passion for working with children and highlighted the importance of quality education and care. When I learned about The Big Red Barn's commitment to growth and nurturing, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to join the team!
I believe it’s essential for children to feel loved and cared for by everyone in their lives—teachers, families, friends, and Jesus. A child's sense of love directly impacts their ability to thrive, and I am dedicated to ensuring every child feels safe and valued.
Outside of work, I’m actively involved with a local church in Denver that I love! You’ll find me rock climbing, skiing, or hosting dinner parties for friends almost weekly! I enjoy community, really good food, and finding the best hikes around Denver.
